Church
St. Olaf’s Church is one of the best-known symbols of Tallinn’s Old Town, with a history dating back at least to the 13th century, and its origins may reach even further into the past. In the Middle Ages, its tower was among the tallest in Europe, and its present silhouette, rising to 123.7 meters, still shapes the city’s skyline. The building stands out for its spacious and lofty interior, late Gothic architecture, and historical layers that have been repeatedly restored over the centuries. Today, St. Olaf’s Church is an active place of worship with a living congregation, as well as a visitor site, whose tower offers views over the city of Tallinn and the sea.
